Dr. Nikoleta Zampaki is Postdoctoral Researcher at the Faculty of Philology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece, under the supervision of Professor Peggy Karpouzou, Associate Professor of Theory of Literature at the Faculty of Philology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece.
Her in progress postdoc research is titled Ψηφιακές Οικολογίες. Η χρήση του ψηφιακού εργαλείου Juncture στη Νεοελληνική Ποίηση του 19ου-20ού αιώνα [Digital Ecologies. The use of digital tool Juncture in Modern Greek Poetry of 19th-20th ce.] is done at the Faculty of Philology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece. This research is supported by the Jstor Labs and partnered with the Digital Library of Modern Greek Studies (ANEMI) of the University of Crete in Greece.
Dr. Zampaki works on the digital tool Juncture, aiming to create a digital repository of textual references of plants (e.g., flowers, forests, and so forth) that are found in a great variety of selected works of Modern Greek poetic texts (19th-20th ce.). This research brings into dialogue the fields of Environmental Humanities, Digital Humanities, Programming and Computer Studies, exploring the interplays between plant and digital ecosystems. This symbiotic approach lays also the ground of how we can use digital tools in the Humanities scholarship through an interactive way.
